“What is success?
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate the beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!”

Today I questioned myself what it means to be successful in my life after attending Parents Seminar run by Father Steve Kim. I came up with a list. To stay enthusiastic; to be loved by the people I care for; to be able to set a goal; to find out God's purpose for my life... and I found Ralph Waldo Emerson's quote which probably fits closest to my definition of success.
